Household Electricity Bills Skyrocket

It is beyond me why I would see headlines like this, especially with the de-regulation of energy occurring in many of the very high priced Energy States. Last March I made the switch and become a new customer for a company that provides discounts and pays me for recommending customers to them. My last provider never did that.

I just read a recent article in USA Today, that basically cited the Bureau of Economic Data saying…

Electricity is consuming a greater share of Americans’ after-tax income than at any time since 1996 — about $1.50 of every $100 in income at a time when income growth has stagnated.

Again, why wouldn’t anybody that had the ability to change providers not do so?

Why pay more than you have to, especially on your electricity bill!

I just think people are too busy and maybe they think it takes too much time. It doesn’t. It took 5 minutes. I actually spent more time comparing rates to make sure that I would save money to validate this decision.
