Authority Site Black Book
March 20, 2007
Nothing is more satisfying than building a website that is considered an Authority Site.
No matter what your area of expertise is, if you provide high quality content, others will respect the effort, the information and reward you by visiting often.
When you add different types of monetizing efforts with an authority site, you can create a nice income stream. Making a living utilizing your creativity is always rewarding. Especially if the alternative is working for somebody else.
Here are a few Authority Site works-in-progress examples that I am building:
I have approximately 30 more sites that I am also working on, and during this process I learned that it's important to get the right hosting company, the right design and the right integration of web 2.0 services.
Making the wrong choice can cost you in both time and money. However, making the right choice can make the authority site and profits happen sooner than later.
For instance, I firmly believe that setting up an authority site with all the functionality of a blog just makes sense. Doing it this way allows you to take full advantage of web 2.0 systems to drive targeted traffic.
That brings me to the point of this post. If your interested in setting up an authority site you need to read this manual that has all of the top web 2.0 tools listed in one spot.
The value of this report is $197 but you can download it for free by going to my business site called www.blueskybrothers.com. The download link is on this post….Instant Traffic with Web 2.0
Make sure you download this report and use it for a reference.
To your success!

The Purpose Driven Life - Part 1 - 5
March 14, 2007
Life is funny!
Last week I was on a call with an old boss of mine, we happen to be friends as well. Our conversation began to gravitate towards God and Jesus Christ.
Interestingly, he accepted Jesus Christ into his life several years ago and is working towards living a more Christian based life. I respect that.
Not to long ago I also accepted Jesus Christ into my life, but have been some what confused on how to properly worship. Since I can remember I have not really been involved in organized religion.
Anyway, during our conversation, my friend brought up a book that he thought I should read. He said that it would help and put everything in perspective for me.
While we were still on the call I began to look around for it on my bookshelves, because I was sure that I owned that book. Sure enough I found it. I had bought it a couple of years ago. But I never read it.
The book was written by Rick Warren and is called "The Purpose Driven Life."
The book is basically a spiritual guide broken down into 40 days. The goal of the book is to enable the readers to discover the answer to life's most important question: What on earth am I here for?
By the end of the book it should help bring all the pieces of my life together and put everything in perspective. 40 days is a spiritual significant with many examples of why but I will not go into those here.
Why am I posting this information on my blog?
Well, that's a great question. Here's the skinny. I wanted a place to take notes and keep track of the information. So I figured my blog would be a great place to do that.
Day 1: It all starts with God.
Points To Ponder - It's not about me.
Verse To Remember: "Everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him." Colossians 1:16b (msg)
Question To Consider: In spite of all the advertising around me, how can I remind myself that life is really about living for God, not myself.
Day 2: You Are Not an Accident
Points To Ponder: I am not an accident
Verse To Remember: "I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born." Isaiah 44:2 (CEV)
Question To Consider: I know that God uniquely created me. What areas of my personality, background, and physical appearance am I struggling to accept?
Day 3: What Drives Your Life?
Points To Ponder: Living on Purpose is the path to peace
Verse To Remember: "You, LORD, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you." Isaiah 26:3 (TEV)
Question To Consider: What would my family and friends say is the driving force of my life? What do I want it to be?
Day 4: Made To Last Forever
Points To Ponder: There is more to life than just here and now
Verse To Remember: "This world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you wil live forever." John 2:17 (NLT)
Question To Consider: Since I was made to last forever, what is the one thing I should stop doing and the one thing I should start doing today?
Day 5: Seeing Life from God's View
Points To Ponder: Life is a test and a trust
Verse To Remember: "Unless you are faithful in small matters, you won't be faithful in large ones." Luke 16:10a (NLT)
Question To Consider: What has happened to me recently that I now realize was a test from God? What are the greatest matters God entrusted to me?
I don't feel like commenting on any of these because it is already 3:00 am. But I will say this. I like the path I am walking on. I like where I am heading!
Is This Ok To Laugh About?
March 12, 2007
I feel bad…
When I first saw this video I laughed out loud. Then I thought to myself, "Am I a bad person for laughing?"
Don't answer that. Just watch the video and then you can answer that question.
So, am I a bad person?
